Alisha Perkins, owner and founder of Cakes & Beans is a
creative entrepreneur who stumbled upon the idea of
children’s clothing and accessories when her then
two-year-old daughter needed a tutu for dance class.
Out she ventured trying to find a tutu that was anything
but pastel… low and behold- there was nothing. Her
grandmother had taught her to sew as a child so she
decided… to heck with it…I’ll make my own tutu. And
things grew from there. She wanted her line to be
anything but typical.
Creativity has always been a passion for her and not she
found the perfect outlet for it.
Aside from being the owner of Cake & Beans, Alisha is
also the mother of Addie & Lyla Perkins.
She is the wife of Glen Perkins, a pitcher in the Major
Leagues, currently playing for the Minnesota Twins. She
is a resident of MN, born and raised! |
